Lost State Writers Guild anthologies

Lost State Voices
LSVII

Members of the Lost State Writers Guild, located in the Tri-State region of the Southern Appalachian Mountains, meet monthly to network and share ideas and information with the goal of furthering their various writing careers. After considering the possibility of compiling and publishing an anthology of members's works, in early 2005 a Book Committee was formed with that aim. The committee members solicited submissions from Guild members and divided up judging duties. One member, a professional photographer, donated a beautiful photo taken at Grandfather Mountain in NC for the cover. After hammering out fonts and formats and gathering printing estimates, the book became a reality just before Christmas 2005. It was well received and very few books from this print run remain.

A while after the first Lost State anthology was published, Guild members decided to do another. Little did they realize that this book would take a full year to bring to fruition. It was only through the diligent cooperative efforts of many that it even came to pass! But they feel it was worth the effort. David Ramsey once again provided the gorgeous photo seen on the Lost State Voices Volume II cover above. Thank you so much, David.
